Alex Intelligent Software (AS SSD) Benchmark is a software utility that provides a benchmark for measuring the performance of a Solid State Drive (SSD) that is connected to the system. It is freeware software supported on the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows 10, 8, 8.1, 7, Vista and XP on either a 32-bit or 64-bit setup. The utility is supported with a simple and easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) to select the hard drive for testing the performance.
The utility is capable of measuring the data speed rates of various data types including the incompressible data types for the selected SSD. Further, the utility provides various types of SSD tests for the user that includes the Copy-benchmark test, the Compression-benchmark test, the 4K test, and the Seq test.
The Copy-benchmark test checks for the speed of the SSD drive to copy the files.
The Compression-benchmark tests checks for the speed of the SSD drive to compress the data.
The 4K tests the speed of the SSD drive to read/write a random 4K blocks of data.
The Seq tests the speed of the SSD drive to read a large application file, with a limit of 1 GB.
