The CPU-Z is a freeware real-time hardware monitoring software that can gather information about the personal computer or an Android smart phone. The software is designed to be a light-weight program and can be installed easily on the system. It has the ability to detect various hardware devices associated with the system.
Some of the hardware devices the software can monitor are: the CPU, Caches, mainboard, memory, graphics card. In addition to monitoring the hardware devices, the software can generate reports by compiling the monitored hardware device. The generated reports can be saved either in a text or HTML formats. Since, the software provides realtime and useful information, the user must be capable of interpreting complex reports.
In addition to monitoring and generating reports for the hardware devices, the software checks the Bios and driver updates.
